Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings and he knows everything.

Why do we choose to fail? It's not like we sit around and decide "Today I am going to fail" right? That's what I thought, but a lot of us do just that. Sounds crazy doesn't it?
Numerous times per day we come across ideas and opportunities and they all seem wonderful at first. But then we begin pondering and in an instant, doubt inserts itself, followed by the usual questions; Can I really do this? What are my friends and family going to think? Then Bam, just like that, we slowly push the ideas out of our brain and fail ourselves...missed opportunity. A lot of times we quit when things get hard, because we are afraid of failure, but is that not considered failing? So we set ourselves up, not our friends nor our families. In reality, at the point of giving up, we have no clue how they feel, but just the thought of what they could be thinking holds us back. Yep, that's where we feel like a failure again and again.

What are your short and long term goals? What is really holding you back? Here is how I deal with the thoughts that could potentially hold me back; I remember that no matter what my past is and what other people could think, at the end of the day, God already knows everything. He knew my secrets before they became secrets and he knew my lies before I spoke them. But he forgave me and helped me in the process of forgiving myself. God wants me to be successful and that's really all there is to it.

How do you deal with the thoughts that prevent you from taking the next step? I would really love to hear some of the techniques that you use to stay focused.
